On a cold winter day in January

It’s a cold day here in west-central Illinois. The winds are blowing, the snow is not coming down, but moving sideways with regularity.  But this time of year is always busy here in the Tourism Office. This time of year we read all about the trends in travel, we learn everything that we can about our visitors in order to make good decisions when it comes to planning for the upcoming season; and that is exactly where I am today.  I am completely redesigning our Tourism Brochure to be more informative and broader at the same time.  I am also preparing to travel to the Bank Travel Conference in Milwaukee in February where I have the great opportunity to talk to Bank Travel professionals about our beautiful Nauvoo and the region we are so fortunate to live in.

So as you can see, even though the temperatures are cold and the winds are blustery, we forsee warmer days and new adventures just around the corner!  Ah, Spring; yes it will be here before we know it!
